About the European Consumer Centre

What is the ECC-Net?

The European Consumer Centre (ECC) is the Dutch member of the European Consumer Centres Network. The ECC-Net is a network extending across all the countries of the European Union, plus Norway and Iceland, which aims at promoting consumer confidence in the workings of the European internal market. The Network is an initiative of the European Commission and the various Member States. In the Netherlands, the ECC is funded by the Ministry of Justice and is a specialised section of the head office of the Juridisch Loket (Legal Service Counter).

What can the ECC do for you?

The ECC can assist you, as a consumer, when you wish to buy or order something in another EU Member State, by providing you with information on your rights and obligations as a European consumer and by giving you advice and support if you have problems after making a purchase in another EU Member State.
